Artist Bio: Osvaldo Di Dio is an italian guitar player and composer, born in Naples, June 18, 1980. He has played and toured with some of the most important italian artists such as Franco Battiato, Eros Ramazzotti, Cristiano De André, Alice, Mario Venuti, Lorenzo Fragola, Pilar, Paolo Vallesi and Lisa. On his musical path, he's had the chance to play with Lucio Dalla, Mauro Pagani, Claudio Baglioni, Cher, Paolo Fresu, Luca Carboni. From 2005 he worked with Francesco Cameli at Sphere Studios in London and with rock legend producer Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton, Marillion, ELP, Duran Duran): in 2013 Sphere Studios moved to Los Angeles. He's the author of guitar book "Lizard S.S.M.: Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Vol.1" (Universal) and has worked, as guitar player and arranger, on the soundtrack of Gabriele Muccino's "Ricordati di Me". With visionary trio Post Jazz Mistress, he released the critical acclaimed album "Global Warming" in 2011. Osvaldo has been voted by All About Jazz USA contributor Karl Ackermann in "Guitar" section at El Intruso 4th Annual Critics Poll - 2011, alongside Bill Frisell. In 2012, his personal approach to classical music attracts the attention of international director and choreographer Massimo Moricone, who wants him in Don Juan, a new production at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, starring the legend of classical ballett Luciana Savignano: on this occasion Osvaldo Di Dio performs Alessandro Scarlatti's sonatas K32 and K213. Osvaldo is also an educator: he has collaborated with some of the most important music academies in the country, taking courses and workshops throughout Italy. 'Fandango' is the first single from his solo album: released January 26, 2015, it reached number 7 on iTunes Rock chart in Italy. 'Better Days', the first solo album, was released on Sept. 7, 2015: it reached number 3 in Rock chart and the number 17 in the overall ranking of iTunes, the only instrumental album in the top 40; it reached number 2 on the Rock chart, the number 2 in the overall standings and was "the product of the moment" on Amazon. The track "Rosso Ducati" has been chosen by Ducati Motor to be included in the soundtrack of season 2015/2016. He's the guitarist of the band of X-Factor 2015. At NAMM 2016 plays demos for F-Pedals with Eddie Kramer, producer and sound engineer for Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, David Bowie.
